About the Chilliwack Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Chilliwack is a service club in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada dedicated to improving lives of people, both in our community and around the world. Chartered in 1934, the 3663rd club in the world, our club is the largest club in Chilliwack with 115 members. When we meet each Friday at the Chilliwack Curling Club, our enthusiastic members are welcomed by lively music from our in-house band the "Rotations".
We are are now doing hybrid meetings. The in-person meetings are at the Chilliwack Curling Club and we’re also offering a Zoom option. If you wish to be invited to a meeting, please contact us at rotaryclubofchilliwack@gmail.com for an invitation.
We are recognized and well known to be a singing club. Each meeting features an opportunity for our members to enthusiastically sing a song or two. We’re also recognized for volunteering in our community. Our members are found in all areas of Chilliwack, giving back in many different ways.
Rotary is a worldwide network of 1.4 million inspired individuals who translate their passion into relevant social causes to change lives in communities.
Our proud history includes our four major fundraising initiatives the Rotary Book Sale and the Rotary Dinner, the Rotary Garden & Lifestyle Tour, and coming soon, the Chilliwack Ribfest through which we annually fund $ 32,500 in Scholarships as well as Breakfast Programs at four local elementary schools. Some of our larger projects include the Blue Heron Nature Reserve, Central Community Park, Rotary Trails System, providing seating in the Rotary Theatre in the Chilliwack Cultural Centre and emergency room upgrades at Chilliwack General Hospital.
